Laflora is engaged in responsible peatland management, which includes sustainable peat extraction, the production of high value-added horticultural peat products, and the recultivation of peatlands, i.e., the land's after-use once peat extraction is completed.
As a peatland owner, Laflora views peatland management as a distinct sector of the economy. The potential of these lands should be regarded as natural capital with socio-economic benefits. For the effective use in the interests of the owner, the nation, and the state, the peatland management sector must be defined in bio-economics, circular economy, and climate change aspects.
